New NRS Gore-Tex Lineup
For 50 years, NRS has been helping paddlers do what they love. Now we’re introducing an entirely new generation of dry gear—our GORE-TEX® Pro line will help paddlers stay dry and comfortable with even more freedom of movement and durability than ever before. Here’s what you need to know.
GORE-TEX® means maximum protection and flexibility
• GORE-TEX® Pro is the ultimate technical material for dry wear, unbeatable for comfort, dryness, breathability and longevity.
• It has a 4-way stretch that’s not available in lower levels of GORE-TEX®.
• NRS GORE-TEX® Pro garments are also made with 100% recycled nylon face fabric.
New Dry Product Enhancements
But we didn’t just “make it GORE-TEX.” We built this line from the ground up—based on paddlers’ needs. Here’s what makes the line stand out:
Lighter, more flexible, less drag
o Overall fit is less baggy for reduced drag (in the Axiom Dry Suit)
o New YKK Aquaseal zippers are super soft and flexible
o Women’s designs removed zipper flap on the drop allowing for greater freedom of movement and comfort when seated
Increased durability and long life
o Cordura reinforcements (in the Jakyl Dry Suit)
o Rear zip entry reinforced
o Tapered leg reduces wear on the inner seams when walking
o Eliminated hook and loop closures to prevent eventual failure from exposure to debris
Less water entry
o Extended neoprene gaskets (in both drysuits and dry tops)
o Lengthened volcano wrist cuffs to move the gasket farther up the arm and away from the water
o Wrist cuffs redesigned to eliminate common failure points at the sewn seams
More comfortable for longer days
o Neoprene comfort-neck (in the Navigator Dry Suit)
o Adjustable storm hood for changing conditions. (Also, in the Navigator)
o Bibs feature integrated overskirt for use with dry top—or just a thermal top and shell—for more flexibility.
