AQ Outdoors Calgary's first-ever flatwater freestyle competition will have categories for all levels and all ages. The competition will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2025. There will be prizes for the top 3 paddlers in all categories. If you are looking to sign up for Teen or Adult categories click here.
Paddlers will raft up in their kayaks all facing the same direction, 1 at a time paddlers will run across the boats from one end to the other. Fastest time wins. Time penalties are added if you fall off the 'piano'.
Paddlers will fill their boats 2/3 full with water and start on one end of the pool. The goal is to be the fastest paddler to go the length of the pool without capsizing.
Category prizes will be announced closer to the event. Prizes will be handed out to the top 3 paddlers in each category.
