AQ Outdoors Calgary's 2nd Annual Winter Whitewater Games Day will have categories for all levels and all ages. The competition will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026. There will be prizes for the top 3 paddlers in all categories. Entry fees cover registration for one paddler to all events in their age category.

Piano Keys
Paddlers will raft up in their kayaks all facing the same direction, 1 at a time, paddlers will run across the boats from one end to the other. Fastest time wins. Time penalties are added if you fall off the 'piano'.
Submarine Race
Paddlers will fill their boats 2/3 full with water and start on one end of the pool. The goal is to be the fastest paddler to go the length of the pool without capsizing.
Simon Says
Just like the land game, but using paddle strokes as the action. The judge will say “Simon says do a _____ (forward stroke, spin, backward stroke, turn left, etc.)” and the paddlers must do what they are told. If the judge does not say “Simon says” before the action, and a paddler still does the action, they are out. The last paddler left is the winner.
Team Flatwater Relay Race
In teams of 2, compete to see which team can finish first. The course and rules will be explained before the event.
Prizes include giftcards, swag candy and more! Prizes will be handed out to the top 3 paddlers in each category/ age group.
