AQ Outdoors Calgary's 2nd Annual Winter Whitewater Games Day will have categories for all levels and all ages. The competition will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026. There will be prizes for the top 3 paddlers in all categories. Entry fees cover registration for one paddler to all events in their age category.

Freestyle Classic - Intermediate and Advanced Groups
Classic freestyle tricks on flatwater, 2-minute time per paddler. Points are based on how many tricks you can do within your time limit.
Vertical Stall Time Trials
See how long you can hold a vertical stern stall. The last paddler 'standing' wins.
Submarine Race
Paddlers will fill their boats 2/3 full with water and start on one end of the pool. The goal is to be the fastest paddler to go the length of the pool without capsizing.
Counted Rolls
See how many rolls you can do in just one minute. C to C, sweep rolls, back deck rolls and hand rolls are acceptable. Only completed rolls count, you must come completely out of the water after each roll.
Team Flatwater Relay Race
In teams of 2, compete to see which team can finish first. The course and rules will be explained before the event. The race will consist of swimming and paddling across the pool.
Prizes include giftcards, swag, candy and more! Prizes will be handed out to the top 3 paddlers in each category/ age group.
