I’ve never seen a  roof box win a relay race but did you know that Yakima was in the 12984 Olympics?  Not running a relay but, they have outfitted all the 1984 summer Olympic vehicles with fairings.  They have been a staple in the industry ever since.

Yakima  Industries was founded by Otto & Jeanne Lagervall in the beautiful Yakima, Washington in the late 1970’s.  Shortly after they created there first national product. The Gold Rush Bar roof rack system.

Yakima Industries was then moved to California with the purchase of the company by Steve Cole and Don Banducci.  Five years after there purchase, Yakima built fairings for vehicles used in the 1984 Olympics, and also became the official rack supplier for the 7-11 cycling team who did quite well.

We use some Yakima Stackers on our shop trailer, helps us haul 6 boats.

They stayed producing quality products, like there Q tower, in California until they moved to Portland Oregon in 2005. They kept producing great products which led to there purchase by the Kemflo group of companies in 2010.  Since then they have grown worldwide producing in both the USA and Australia. They have dealers worldwide selling their wares. We here at Aquabatics, Roof racks Calgary, and Roof Racks Edmonton are happy to be dealers of there fabulous product line.
