Brian from Aquabatics and today we're talking about PFDs and the difference between a high back and a low back.

A high back PFD is really good for just about every type of boat out there: whitewater, paddle board, canoe, fishing kayak, rafting, etc. They can sometimes can be a little bit warm.

With the half back PFDs the foam sits on your shoulder blades, which gets the bulk of the foam off of your back. So, when you're sitting in a high back seat -- like in a sit-on-top fishing kayak -- it makes it a little more comfortable and there's less bulk pushing you forward. It's also cooler when you're in really hot conditions out on the water.
