The Kayak Touring Safety course is designed to teach rec/touring paddlers wet exits as well as basic solo and self-assisted deep water rescues. Note: rolling is not covered in this course.
This course introduces participants to essential deep-water rescue techniques for recreational and touring kayaks. Taught in a warm, comfortable environment, the program will teach kayakers to confidently handle emergency situations on the water. Perfect for beginners and those looking to enhance their recreational kayaking safety knowledge, this course provides hands-on training with certified instructors to build both skill and confidence.
After completing this course participants can expect to be able to perform a number of solo and assisted deep water rescues and be able to wet exit.
