Kokatat Meridian and Icon Features
Both of these are top notch dry suits in the paddlesports industry and are made of durable Gore Tex material. Kokatat offers an exceptional service and warranty program, and we have known people who have had their dry suits for over 20 years.
Both of these dry suits offer a drop seat to make it easy to go to the bathroom while you're out adventuring. They also offer a tunnel if you are wearing a paddling skirt. The latex gaskets keep you nice and dry and warm.
Both of these Kokatat dry suits have a small front pocket where you can put any personal items you may have with you.
Key Difference Between the Meridian and Icon Women’s Dry Suits
The only difference between these two dry suits is that the Kokatat Icon is a back zip and the Kokatat Meridian is a front zip.
My personal dry suit is the Kokatat Icon.
I prefer the back zip because it stays out the way while I'm paddling and there's not too much bulk in the front, under my PFD. I also do not find it too difficult to do up myself. However, you may be more familiar with the Kokatat Meridian front entry system, as it has stood the test of time and is the classic Kokatat dry suit.
If you have mobility issues, I would recommend going with the Meridian as it is easier to access the zipper.
For reference, Jocelyn is five foot eight, a hundred and thirty five pounds, and she wears the medium based on her slim build. She would've fit the small a little bit better up top, but based on her height, she had to go up to that medium. You can see that the medium is just a little bit baggy in her torso.
