Prior Phalanx Splitboard – Freestyle Powder Split for Pillow Lines, Switch Landings & Backcountry Creativity

The Canadian-made Prior Phalanx Splitboard is a modern freestyle powder split designed for riders who want to bring a playful, trick-ready approach into deep snow and technical terrain. Prior describes the Phalanx as a backcountry freestyle-focused shape that blends ideas from their freeride collection, built to stay balanced from pillow lines to switch landings. Upgraded with Spark R&D Hardware.

A true twin stance (0 cm offset) paired with a tapered overall shape gives the Phalanx a unique mix of freestyle familiarity and powder performance, so it feels natural when you’re riding switch, but still wants to float and stay smooth in deeper snow.

Hybrid Rocker + Tapered Twin Stance – Float, Balance & Quick Turn Entry

The Phalanx uses a Hybrid Rocker camber profile with a tapered, twin-stance design and a mid-flex—a blend aimed at keeping the board nimble and responsive in soft snow while maintaining predictable control when conditions get mixed.

If your backcountry days include natural hits, pillows, slashes, and “make-the-most-of-what’s-there” features, the Phalanx is built to keep things lively while still being stable enough for real lines.

Construction – Our Pick: Quad-Glass (Quadraxial Fiberglass) for a Responsive, Durable Ride

For the Prior Phalanx Splitboard, we’re focusing this build on Quad-Glass (Prior’s standard quad-axial glass/carbon composite). Quad-Glass uses fibers running in four directions and includes lengthwise carbon strips, producing a responsive, long-lasting ride with excellent torsional stability.

XTC Carbon is available as an upgrade and is designed to reduce weight versus the standard construction, just contact us to get that special ordered.
