Join Bow River Troutfitters and Aquabatics Calgary at at Carburn Park on May 26th and 27th, 2018 for a unique fly fishing and Kayak Fishing Event.  This is the second year BRT have run this event and we are stoked to be attending with demo Fishing Kayaks and accessories from Jackson,Wilderness Systems, Perception, Werner, Bending Branches, Scotty, RAM, Yakattak and more.

The goal of this event bring Alberta's fly fishing and Kayak Fishing community together to share knowledge and forge relationships, all the while having the opportunity to attend free fly fishing seminars, test product (both fly fishing and kayak fishing) and get info and tips from the best in the business.

The event runs from 10am - 4pm on Saturday May 26th and Sunday May 27th at Carburn Park (Click here for directions)

This event is a great opportunity to get Jackson and Wilderness Systems Pro Staff anglers out on the water with you.  We will have paddle and pedal driven boats from both manufacturers (and Perception) available to try out.  Aquabatics staff and manufacturer pro staffers will be on hand to talk you through the different models, and, to provide tips and tricks for aspiring, new and experienced kayak anglers alike.  It is also one of the few opportunities available in Alberta to demo pedal drive kayaks from Jackson, Wilderness Systems and Perception.

The Casting Clave is however BRT's thing.  We are jumping on board because we think it is a great event, and having two passionate and community focused businesses working together, can only benefit the fly and kayak fishing community at large.  Bow River Troutfitters will have a load of fly fishing seminars, instruction and education sessions.  There will also a be a large selection of R.L. Winston and Loop Tackle rods, Temple Fork Outfitters, Rio Products and Airflo lines to cast, along with many reels to pair them with. If you are interested in seeing any fishing products in particular, please email BRT and let them know what you would like to try out.

Their seminars will cover everything from the fundamentals of making effective single-hand casts, to advanced techniques in single and double handed casting and fishing. There’s no doubt that even some of the most experienced anglers around benefited from some of last years excellent presentations.

BRT will also be hosting the R.L. Winston ‘cast a Winston win a Winston’ contest. Cast a Winston during the clave and be entered to win a new Winston Kairos on June 15th! Just in time for opener.

There will be industry pros, guides, instructors, staff from both businesses and industry reps on hand from both the Kayak Fishing and Fly Fishing Industries.  It promises to be a great weekend of trying gear, learning and hanging out on the water.
